Arkitekturmuseum, Oslo

The architect Sverre Fehn, at Fehn Arkitekter, has pushed the structural limits of glass to the edge in the new pillion at the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo, Norway.

The building is purely made out of glass and concrete. The glass spans 5.8 meters in height and are supported by external glass fins.

“This is the largest glass panels delivered in Northern Europe” says architect Martin Dietrichson.
The pavilion is connected to the building of the old Bank of Norway from 1930.
“The Museum is well planned, well drawn and well build” says director of communication at Statsbygg (National Property Board of Norway) Hege Njaa Rygh.
