Tingvallautstikkeren, Oslo
The project is a new restaurant building on Aker Brygge in Oslo.
The final result is an adapted version of the winning proposal in an open architectural competition of the Norwegian Property ASA. The competition was won by the Alliance Arkitekter AS in cooperation with MAPT AS.
Planned restaurant will have year-round operation, as restaurant, cafe and bar. The restaurant is designed as an open room in one floor with a core of two floors. All common features are planned to be located in this core, with a cafe towards the city and a restaurant towards the harbor. The second level will house an area for “fine dining”.
The building is oval shaped with curved facades. Around the facade there are full height IG-units in triple glazing and a number of glazed steel doors with top lights. The roof is made out of wood panels that fall down over the building.
