Texaco, Belgien
Skandinaviska Glassystem has handed over its biggest project to date in Belgium:
New gas stations for Texaco on both sides of the E17 motorway between Antwerp and Gent near Kruibeke.
After participating in a Design & Build phase that started in March 2006, Skandinaviska Glassystem has now finished the glass facades on both buildings. The facades lean outwards and are bended in both the vertical and horizontal axis. There is no 90 degree angle in the whole skin of the building. The glass panels are supported in their corners using specially designed steel consoles and the SG Light system. The roof of the building is made of foam-elements that are laser cut directly from a 3D model.
