Sambiblioteket, Härnösand
Härnösands Sambibliotek is located next to the city park, between the city center and the University.
”We wanted the glass façade to be as ‘immaterial’ as possible,” says the architect of Sambiblioteket, Hans Tirsen. ”The SGS system, incorporating masts like frames and “fish-shaped” rods, was exactly what we were looking for.”
The glassed area covers over 1200 m2 and for the most part the SG2000 Link-system is fitted to wooden horizontal beams.
The pillars are fastened telescopically to the construction in the top and are reinforced by stainless steel rods.
“We look forward to working together again at some future and suitable time,” says Hans Tirsen. ”It’s good to know such an advanced facade can be built on a limited project budget.”
