Naturum Höga Kusten, Docksta
In the shadows of the mighty Skuleberget lies the notable Naturrum visitor center, inspired by nature. The building was created with the help of ‘geological surgery’, meaning a precision cut was made in the bedrock during construction.
The unique landscape was formed as the ice pressed into the rocks by the coast, and then returned to the sea. This look is especially present along the Höga Kusten and is why it was added to UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites. There are five other visitor centers created by White around the country. Currently two other are under construction. The Naturrum Höga Kusten however, remains the most high-profile of the projects, even internationally.
