Icon Tower

The Tower is a part of the Icon Complex in Oslo and will constitute a public attraction as well as a sculptural element – a landmark – for the area.

The tower is a lookout point tower and the elevator in the center is the only way to reach the point about 47 meters above the ground.

The primary structure of the tower consists of a constructive spiral of steel, which extends all the way through the towers height, with a secondary structure of repetitive oblique braces.  The spiral will be adorned with curved, extra clear glass laminated with DuPont Sentry Glass foil.

The glasses are connected to the steel structure with so-called spider fittings in stainless steel, each holding four glass corners with its four arms.
