Allerhuset
“Allerhuset” is the Head office for “Aller Media”, in Copenhagen.
Skandinaviska Glassystem had to create a system for installing this very complex and heavy façade with granite decorations in a fast and efficient way. The building is situated in the middle of the harbor in Copenhagen with water surrounding three sides.
Because of the limited space Skandinaviska Glassystem developed a system for prefabrication of large façade modules that could be preassembled in the factory in Lysekil.
Each module was complete with steel reinforced aluminum profiles, glass, granite stones, blinds and an openable outer single glass to protect the blinds. The modules weighed approximately 2200 kg each, and could be installed directly on the facade – minimizing the work at site.
The ground floor façade is a rod supported suspended façade that forms a slight curve around the bottom of the building and ends in sharp points at the three corners of the building.
In the middle of the east façade, there is an atrium rises from the bottom to the top floor creating large areas for communication and social interaction.
