Södersjukhuset, Stockholm

Södersjukhuset, Stockholm was built during the war, but during the latter half of the Nineties and since 2000 has received a substantial facelift. The new additions include a new building containing both the new main entrance and a new visual diagnostics centre.

The hospital’s new main entrance is more than that – it is a meeting place for those passing in and out and to and from the various functions of the hospital. In addition to the information desk, the entrance hall contains a restaurant and shops. Owing to the materialization of the new building, the main entrance of the hospital has now been moved up once more to its original floor.
