Lambertseter Senter

Skandinaviska Glassystem was supplying glass facades to the project Lambertseter Senter in Oslo.
The system used is a suspended façade with horizontal steel beams to take the wind load and vertical rods to take the weight of the glasses.

The light looking façade will enclose the new building for famous “Symra” cinema, creating a new transparent outlook for the “Deichmans Library”.
“Lambertseter Senter” was launched as an environment friendly centre for shopping and culture and the focus on low energy consumption in large.

These requirements have inspired Skandinaviska Glassystem to introduce its first ever structural glazing façade using triple glass IG units.
The Ug value of this glass is 0.6 W/m²K, decreasing the need for heating during the winter and internal motorized sun blinds decrease the need for cooling in the summer time.
