Heron City, Stockholm
Heron City, located 30 kilometers south of Stockholm, is a centre for shopping, food and drink, entertainment and enjoyment.
Skandinaviska Glassystem supplied the large glass façade to the north and the adjoining vertical glazing.
Together with the glass structure of the roof and walls of the south façade facing a ravine, the total glazed area provided is approximately 2000 m2
“We worked to create a light, transparent façade of glass, facing north and leaning five degrees outwards from the facade,” says Pål Tyllström, one of the architects involved in the project. “Skandinaviska Glassystem were able to deliver a slender design strong enough for the considerable height of 18 meters. Skandinaviska Glassystem has definitely altered our attitude towards working with large expanses of glass.”
